 L.A. Style March 1987

"I'd been rebuilding and tuning pianos in the mid-70s, when it became fashionable for the major tours to carry their own tuner. I'd always wanted to see the world, and I've been on extensive European tours six times, to Japan twice, to Australia, Israel. ... The Beach Boys was the first group I worked with. Then I toured with The Eagles for two years, with Billy Joel tor three years, Simon and Garfunkel, and recently with Barry Manilow .... You know, The Eagles were all guitar players, and they'd rather strut around wearing their guitars than be trapped behind a keyboard rig, Well, I play guitar more than I play keyboards, but I do both. At my job interview tor The Eagles, Glenn Frey asked me to play on a couple of tunes. That was the apex of my musical career! I'm still riding the roller coaster in the music business and am currently coproducing a band with a longtime friend..."
